Overview
We have established the Practical Data Scientist Training Program in 2019 with the aim of fostering the three elements necessary for data scientists in the super-smart society (knowledge of real-world data, skills in using tools, and a mindset of collaboration with different fields). In this program, we conduct "Real-World Data Practicum" in which students solve real-world tasks in group work using data provided by companies and local governments. In addition, we provide lecture courses to cultivate the skills necessary to tackle the Real-World Data Practicum. Students who complete this program will be awarded a "Certificate of Completion".
Organizational Structure
Four universities, Nagoya University, Gifu University, Mie University, and Hiroshima University, are collaborating to implement this program in cooperation with North Carolina State University in the United States.
